    Killing Myself?

"Always wear condoms!! Medications are starting to be ineffective to STIs!!! Gays are practically killing themselves for cheap thrills. Don't be stupid!!!!!!"

A guy wrote this comment yesterday.

This comment, to me, is homophobic.

Let's start with the obvious: Guys, not "Gays," like to have lots of sex. The conservative media and politicians enjoy picturing us as a group of people who are lustful and spread diseases. This statement suggests that they are right.

It is more likely for a straight guy who is not using prep not to wear a condom because his female partner takes birth control pills.

The second thing that bothered me in this statement is: "cheap thrills.". To call sex a "cheap thrill" is another very conservative statement.

Sex is a powerful force that drives life. Look at our culture, at the way people behave. Human beings are very sexual. It is not a "cheap thrill." It is one of the most enjoyable physical practices that exist. Done with the right partner and the right way, it can lift you to new heights.

I think that my very satisfied smile and a widely open hole can give you a clue how much I enjoyed my "Cheap Thrill". I'll write about our lovemaking some other time. We both had an amazing orgasm.

    And lastly: "killing themselves."

    Let's start with the facts:

You can get Chlamydia and Gonorrhea from giving a blog job or touching the guy's cock and then touching yours, or from rubbing the two cocks together. It is highly contagious.

I got Chlamydia twice during my lifetime, both times when I was using condoms. The infection happened not from anal sex.

If you take prep, you were vaccinated for HEP (A&B), and get tested for Syphilis twice a year; nothing can kill you from unprotected sex.

Let's talk about things that do kill you:

    • Smoking

    • Eating eggs, dairy and dead bodies of animals

    • Being overweight (a 10% or higher is a risk factor)

    • Not working out regularly

    • Working out, but not doing aerobics

    • High Blood pressure

    • Getting drunk

    • Working long hours

I have a feeling most, if not all people, that voice their fear from sex, are killing themselves on a daily basis.

    As for me:

    • I don't smoke,

    • I'm vegan

    • My weight is ideal

    • I work out five times a week

    • I run 7 miles three times a week

    • I drink very little and never get drunk

    • My blood pressure is 70/110

    • I leave work twice a week at 3 PM, and one day I work from home

    I think I'll be fine.
